Each year KnightKrawler hosts the Week Zero test competition for upwards of 30 teams to come try their new robot on a replica game field. The whole event is an important fundraiser for the team. One of the ways we fundraise at this event is to hold a general raffle. Attendees purchase raffle tickets and if your number is called at the event, you get to choose an item from the table.
Each season we ask our community to sponsor raffle items. If you or someone you know could sponsor an item we’d be so grateful!
Parents, students and other volunteers are sent a flyer to help them make an ask from local businesses. The primary audience for the raffle is the student population, though there are items for parents and families as well. Not sure what makes a good raffle item? Here’s a list of some sample items from our 2023 Week Zero raffle:
- Apple Airpods
- Space themed 2,000 piece (out of print) LEGO set
- Walk Your Dog gift basket
- Self Care / Spa gift baskets
- Keurig Coffee Maker & coffee pods
- Family Game Night basket
- KnightKrawler or other attending Team swag bags
- KnightKrawler / Robot themed albums
- Wild Rice, Maple Syrup, Honey gift basket
- Escape room or ax throwing tickets
- $100 Target gift card
- Shark cordless vacuum
- Snack Pack basket
- Car Emergency Kit
If you are a creator / maker or a small business owner, this is a great opportunity to give back and share your passion with the community! Teams come from all over the area so things anybody can use, and items from places with multiple locations are always a hit.
A gift receipt for donations are provided on request. KnightKrawler Robotics is a 501(c)(3) organization.
